'Cure Salon & Spa Online Ad Campaign

For my online ad campaign I have chosen to make advertisements for ‘Cure Salon & Spa, a small business located in Toronto. For the campaign I have chosen to create an email newsletter, a Facebook ad and a banner ad. For all of these I chose to use the colours currently used throughout the company’s webpage to stay consistent with the brand.
First I chose to make an email newsletter as I thought it was a great way to send out a small discount to existing clients in the companies email database to make them feel their business is appreciated. This email newsletter also uses some affiliate marketing by asking existing clients to enter in their friends’ emails so they too can receive the exclusive discount. This first email sent will be an opt-in email and the title will contain the name of the friend who recommended ‘Cure Salon & Spa so that it does not appear as SPAM. By offering this small discount, the company will be receiving new emails in their database so they can continue to send new email newsletters of current products/promotions and potentially acquire new customers. The company also offers an incentive for entering multiple emails into their database by offering existing customers a free product for every 5 emails they enter. The email layout is very similar to the layout of the company website, bringing familiarity to the client. The top banner portion of the email is also a link to the company website for clients to get more instantly if they would like to inquire more.
Second I chose to create a smaller banner/button ad, such as the side advertisements commonly seen on Facebook. I thought this would be an effective place for an ad as social networking sites such as Facebook are apart of millions of peoples everyday lives. Not only will this type of ad get a lot of exposure but they are more targeted as the ad would more likely appear on the browser of a user who fits the target market segmentation for the company or is located close to the business. Also the ad may appear on the side of the page if the user is searching, or is currently browsing a page related to salons, spas, or beauty care. Unfortunately this ad was not able to share the same colour scheme as the email and banner, but I did use the company name and description and an appealing image which I think would catch the attention of someone interested in spas opposed to using the logo in place of the image.
Lastly I chose to make a banner ad as it is a larger, more noticeable, and therefore more attention grabbing form of online advertising. Another advantage is that it is more interactive and appealing for the potential consumer with images fading in and out of the banner, opposed to a single still image. This ad would be placed across the top of a webpage, potentially on related search engine searches, or other beauty related websites or blogs.
